Born in February 1966, Art TerKeurst is a 57-year-old American businessman operating Chick-fil-A Wavery FSR. He rose to the spotlight following his marriage to the Christian non-fiction author Christian TerKeurst.

Based on his LinkedIn page, he attended West Morris Mendham High School. Upon the completion of his secondary academics, he went to Winthrop University, situated in South Carolina.

The TerKeurst Couple Marriage

Lysa’s relationship with Art began at a Bible study, and they eventually fell in love. After a few years, the couple tied the knot in 1993. But, things didn’t go well for the couple, and Mrs TerKeurst decided to end their marriage in 2017. Ultimately, Lysa filed for divorce and accused her spouse of cheating and addictive behaviour.

At the time, the non-fictional book writer claimed that Art had “been repeatedly cheating on her with a lady he met through social media online” and was abusing narcotics.

Lysa also opened up about her being diagnosed with breast cancer and needing a double mastectomy. However, the pair dedicated a second chance to their marriage and renewed their marital vows in 2018. The intimate ceremony was held near their home in Waxhaw, North Carolina, USA.

Lysa shared five adult children with her ex-spouse Art — three daughters, namely Brooke, Ashley, and Hope — and their adopted sons Jackson and Mark.

The TerKeurst couple adopted Jackson and Mark from an orphanage in Liberia, West Africa, when the boys were in their teenage years. Now, Mark is a celebrated name in the music industry, popular by his stage name, T. Markus.

Lysa’s oldest daughter, Hope, is a fashion blogger who is popular for sharing posts on housing and renovations through her social media handles. And Hope got married to her lover, Michael House, on 13 February 2016.

The couple’s middle-born daughter, Brooke, is into the beauty line. She is a hair and makeup artist and has wedded a guy named Nick Isaac.

Nevertheless, their youngest daughter, Ashley, is also into blogging and was previously married to David Hodges with whom she has a baby boy called Ryser.

At the end of 2021, Florida native Lysa TerKeurst again filed for divorce. Through social media, the American public speaker publicly declared her decision in January, stating her hubby had been involved in “chosen patterns of conduct that disgrace God and the biblical vow of marriage.”

Per the Ministry Watch, Lysa claimed her husband, Art, of three decades, of being involved with a woman he met through the dating site SugarDaddy.com. She even revealed that her ex-spouse spent nearly $118,000 on his secret girlfriend.

According to Ms TerKeurst, Art even paid for the expenses of that woman for her settlement in Charlotte, North Carolin, and purchased a pre-engagement left-hand ring.

In early 2022, Art submitted an objection to the petition for divorce, seeking alimony, support, post-separation, revocation of a postnuptial agreement, and distribution of property.

The businessman also claimed that he argued that he agreed to the post-nuptial contract while he was not sober and that the arrangement was ineffective once they renewed their vows in 2018.

Responding to his statement, Lysa pointed out that her ex-spouse’s charges of being suicidal were irrational. She also shared that the post-nuptial contact was still in implication following the reconciliation. The ministry leader also shared that they held individual financial accounts that dealt with their post-nuptial arrangement.

In April, She shared an Instagram post, regarding follow-up with her followers, commenting on the moment she stated, “No more. No more devastation. No more betrayal. No more being lied to. No more.”
